Ouch

The last couple weeks have been, less than ideal.  I was excited to have a couple days off of school without working.  I started my first day off by taking Riley to Petsmart. Side note: Riley was kindof sick, we changed her food and it wasnt sitting well with her stomach. So the trips outside had definitely been more frequent. I was walking down an isle when I noticed Riley staring to squat, I ran out side with her to prevent an accident.  While on the grassy island by the parkinglot, she spun in circles getting ready to go. While doing this, all 120 lbs of her ran into me.  Knocking me off the curb. My ankle rolled with an extremely loud snap. After a few seconds waiting for the pain to pass, a lady came running over asking if I was okay. Aparently she heard the snap of my ankle from accross the parkinglot and came to check on me.  (meanwhile riley just stood next to me, licking the tears off my face) I kept expecting the pain to stop at any time.  But that didn't happen and was followed by the urge to throw up. A couple guys in a van stopped and asked if they could help. One guy stood behind me to give me something to lean on, while the other called an ambulance.  I called Jake from work to come get Riley. The ambulance showed up pretty fast, within 3-4 mins. ( pretty impressive I thought, especially for something as minor as an ankle) The paramedics wrapped my ankle up and "signed me over" to Jake. We headed to the Emergency Room and there was someone waiting for us as we pulled up. They started an IV and gave me something for the pain. It helped, until they took me to Xray. The had me move my ankle in some weird ways, and I was back to square one. It was as if they hadn't just given me morphine.  The xrays came back and it wasn't broken.  Could have fooled me! :)  So now after a week and a half on crutches, I still have the boot on. I have another appointment with a specialist tomorrow. Possibly another xray, and MRI. I guess we'll see.
All I know is, my cankle hurts is and turning colors that are not normal.
Ps: using crutches hurts my hands almost as much as my ankle!
