Really?

$100 bet gets Calif. man stuck in child swing set | ksl.com

"VALLEJO, Calif. (AP) - A 21-year-old Northern California man was left hanging at a playground swing set overnight after he got stuck in the diaper-like seat for nine hours.
Vallejo police say the man made a $100 bet with his friends that he could fit into a child's swing at Blue Rock Springs Park on Friday night. With the help of liquid laundry detergent, he managed to slide his legs into the seat.
Authorities say that's when he got stuck _ and his friends took off.
A groundskeeper found the man screaming for help the next morning. Firefighters cut the chains off the swing and took him to the hospital, where a cast cutter was used to remove the seat.
The man's name has not been released."
My favorite part, He got stuck in a diaper-like seat for NINE HOURS! lol

Re-Post: East Coast Trip!

Correction on the stars.. There are 4,048 stars. not 400.

This trip seems like it was forever ago. But, I didn't post any pictures. So here's a taste of what we saw on our trip, which just happened to be a couple days before the earthquake that cracked the Washington Monument.

Washington Monument.
I wish we could have gone up to the top before the earthquake cracked it!

Flags around the Washington Monument

Die-hard tourists.  It poured the whole day!

This is the WWII memorial.

WWII Memorial Quote.

My horrible attempt at a panorama.  I think you get the idea though.  :)

WWII Memorial.
This was amazing. I thought there were a ton of stars to start with, But then I saw the plaque to the left (picture below) that says each star is one-hundred american lives lost or missing. There are 4,048 stars on this wall.

WWII Memeorial

We got to this memorial right as the sun was setting and the rain let up a little.  It was perfect conditions for pictures. I'm so glad we got to see this.  Again, the picture does not do the size of this justice. It is huge.

Such reflective stone. (they did that on purpose)  I love that all the monuments are so planned. Almost everything about them is done on purpose for some other deeper meaning.  so cool.

The White House in the pouring rain!

This is at the national archives.  I made jake stand infront of the door to get a refrence for how friggin huge this thing is!

Everything was so detailed and beautiful here.
