Correction on the stars.. There are 4,048 stars. not 400.
This trip seems like it was forever ago. But, I didn't post any pictures. So here's a taste of what we saw on our trip, which just happened to be a couple days before the earthquake that cracked the Washington Monument.

| WWII Memorial. This was amazing. I thought there were a ton of stars to start with, But then I saw the plaque to the left (picture below) that says each star is one-hundred american lives lost or missing. There are 4,048 stars on this wall. |

| We got to this memorial right as the sun was setting and the rain let up a little. It was perfect conditions for pictures. I'm so glad we got to see this. Again, the picture does not do the size of this justice. It is huge. |

| Such reflective stone. (they did that on purpose) I love that all the monuments are so planned. Almost everything about them is done on purpose for some other deeper meaning. so cool. |
