Riley

Riley is now 62 lbs. Her ears are finally starting to stand on their own. We still have to keep posting them, but we're getting closer!

Ears standing on their own :)

This means, "I want to go outside!"

Puppy Gate for when we leave her home.

"RAWRAWRA" also known as Riley Back-talk. ;)

Riley's posts, this is what she's looked like for the past few weeks.

An Unwanted Investment

This all started about 3 weeks ago. We happened to be running the washing machine at the same time as the shower as well as using the toilet. When we went in to change the laundry, we noticed there was more water than usual on the washing room floor. ;) We called a plumber and they arrived around 9:30 am the next morning. After spending a couple hours on the roof, snaking the drain from there, they started at the street and tried to snake the main sewer line from the clean-out. A few more hours passed and they came back into the house to take the toilet off and try snaking the drain from there. They honestly spent ALL day here. I heard multiple phone calls where the plumber was calling clients asking if they could move their appointment. (which Jake and I greatly appreciate!) After a while he came out and asked us if we had kids, because they'd been pulling diaper wipes out of the drain for a few hours now. These guys were here until after 9 pm. The final conclusion was that the main sewer line had collapsed. They said so much junk was in it that it was being held open by the diaper wipes and slowly being allowed to drain through. Now, however, the sewer line had collapsed in a couple places, one of which was in the middle of the city street. After lots of researching we found out that our homeowners insurance didn't cover any of this. 10k later we got the drain fixed. They brought in a big "toy" and dug up our whole yard. They also had to truck in gravel from Geneva to level the ground under the new pipe. During all this waiting, (about 2 weeks) we couldn't use any sort of drain in our house. No toilet, sinks, shower, washer. Its amazing the little things you take for granted. :) So thank you Mom and Dad for letting us stay with you, use the facilities, eat you out of house and home, and of course torture Beau with Riley. And thank you for being so willing to help however you could. It means a lot to us. Although we would have been great friends with the 7 eleven employees by now. ;)

Riley!

So as most of you know, we're in the process of buying a house :D so exciting! :) Along with that comes the lifted restrictions on pets. So with lots of research, we're getting a Great Dane. The official day to pick her up is the 30th. But I got to take her for a while today in an attempt to make the transition easier on the puppy.
Her name is Riley :)

Zoey

So I feel like the only person I take pictures of anymore is my niece Zoey. But she's just so cute (Jenna I'm still working on the rest of the pictures, but feel free to comment if you don't like something k? :) anyone else out there want free pictures taken. Let me know. I need the practice. :)
