Slackline

Anyone ever heard of it? I hadn't until a few days ago. Its kind of like walking a tight rope, except the rope isn't as tight. Jake was stumbling online and came across a video of some people doing this. They were amazing at it. Some of the guys were doing back flips on it. Just being able to stand on this is (to me) so difficult. So Jake and I decided we wanted to try this. Luckily Jake already had most of the gear for it since he climbs. So we just had to run get the long piece of webbing. We rigged this thing up in my parents back yard between two trees and gave it a try. We got lots of good pictures and got almost everyone there to try. It was such a fun day. :)

My Favorite Picture of Zoey Trying the Slackline

Ryan by far was able to take the most steps without holding onto something.

Trying to get two people on at once.

Ryan falling ( he has the greatest faces in these pics! haha)

Another Great face from Ryan

Almost fell off :)

Dustin falling off :)

Ryan attempting to lay on the slackline, and falling off :)

He got it this time.

Dustin attempting the lay down.

Explaining to Jenna how to try the lay down.

Only stayed like that for a split second, then I was on the ground. :)

One of my favorite Ryan Faces. :)

Three people laying on it.

With two people it almost touched the ground in the middle. Then adding a third, Ryan had it easy, he just layed on the ground :)

Classic Dustin hands

Even Beau Tried :)

Jake has got it down.

Doug Giving it a try.

First attempt

Its tough to even get on the line.

Hill AFB Air Show

Jake, Ryan, and I went to the Hill Air Force Base Air Show (we also met up with Mark). This was my first airshow, but it was Awesome! I hope its not my last. (wait, who am I kidding I married Jake... Of course its not my last haha) Jake's blog has all the details and a few more pictures. Jake's Blog

Notice Jake's Grin :)

Don't get stick your head in there..... :s

The Thunderbirds show was awesome! I was sure that they were going to run into each other on this stunt, I actually flinched.

Just after they landed.

After 5 hours of walking, I was a little tired :) but SO worth it!

Ryan, in the back of Mark's Truck. We parked a little farther away than most people. But hey, we got some great excersize. ;)

Patience

Patience is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without becoming annoyed or upset; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties.
"Patience serves as a protection against wrongs as clothes do against cold. For if you put on more clothes as the cold increases, it will have no power to hurt you. So in like manner you must grow in patience when you meet with great wrongs, and they will then be powerless to vex your mind." Leonardo da Vinci

This is definitely easier said than done, but I absolutely need to work on this.

Cute Kids!

Jake and I had Monday off. We wanted to play outside, so we decided it would be more fun if there were nephews and a niece present. We had fun! :) There's also a few pictures from just hanging out at home with them the night before.

The un-airconditioned ride up the canyon

Zoey wanted a hat and glasses to keep her hair out of her face. But then Jakey wanted to try :)

Rock Climbing :)

Zoey enjoyed this for a second, but then realized how high the rock was and panicked.

Too Heavy :)
