Glutton for Punishment?

Well, I just accepted another part time job.  Its graveyards taking care of post-op patients at a surgical center.  To me, this is fun.  I've done one shift so far and I'm surprised at how awake I was the entire night.  I was awake for 37 hours straight bouncing between jobs, then I finally got home and crashed.  The problem I have is waking up after I fall asleep, not the staying awake part.  So, Caramel Macchiatos, Diet Dr. Pepper, and 5 hour energy shots are my friends.  I have to say though, my body can not put up with that much caffeine on a regular basis.  I'm headed to do my second shift at the surgical center, followed by another shift at the hospital tomorrow morning.  I might get to sleep tomorrow night after 6.

 Here we go again.... :)

UFRA

My brother is in the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy.  They had family/bbq day last  Saturday and we got to watch them set the "tuna can" on fire, then put it out. It was really cool to see.  So happy for him that he's doing something he's happy and excited to do. :)

Retirement

(Its getting close to finals, so posts will be kept short until after april, if I post at all...)
Jake and I spent this past weekend with the Haglund side in New York for Howie's Retirement shin-dig. It was quite the whirlwind and worth every second.  More pictures to come.

This seems to be a favorite picture for the in-laws to take, every one sleeping.( I guess we sleep alot?).
We have multiple from different trips  when we've gone to see them.

NARS Bronzer

I recently found a new bronzer that I now can't go without.  It lasts a long time and looks great even on pale skin like mine.  I was a little nervous at first because it looks SO brown.  But you can apply it as thin or thick as you want and it looks, feels, and smells wonderful!

Neighbors

I've posted before about how classy our neighborhood is.  But I'm getting more and more tired of one specific set of neighbors.  Our bedroom window is right next to their backyard. To give you a mental picture, they all look like they hide in the basement of their parents house playing dungeons and dragons until they smell to high hell.  At first they kept their "parties" to weekends.  Then it went to Wednesday and/or Thursday.  They usually have a bonfire that consists of a shopping cart, from who knows where, that they put over the fire with food or whatever they are eating/burning. There is always some sort of alcohol involved. They usually start around 9 or 10pm, and don't end their parties until after 1 or 2 am.  As the night progresses they get belligerent. You can usually hear lots of yelling and laughing.  Recently its gotten worse, we can hear some guy retching near the fence. Such a pleasant noise to wake up to.  They smoke and it somehow drifts over to our front porch and lingers.  Now they have thrown weed into the mix.  Jake and I will get home, walk up to our porch into what seems like a cloud of weed.  We have called the cops in the past. Jake went over to their house first (around midnight or 1) and knocked on the door to ask them if they could keep it down.  When he knocked, a little 5(maybe 4) year old girl answered the door!  Jake asked  if he could talk to her parents. She said her grandpa was sleeping. Jake didn't know what else to do but walk back to our house and wait for the cops.  We're not sure what the situation is there.  It seems like a house full of random men that live together with one woman and a little girl. All we want is to not be woken up with their laughing, yelling, barfing,  bonfires and smoking.

Enough ranting for now.
