Baby Blog

I started a new blog. I'm going to use it as sort of a journal and then someday turn it into a book for the tiny human to read. Its private, but if anyone wants to read it, just let me know and I'll add you.

I've tried to keep quiet about this...

I haven't really been saying much on Facebook or my blog lately.  In fact, I've been trying to avoid the two.  But finally, this is why, I considered spilling the beans every time I got online!!

Driving

I've seen this sign on quite a few cars lately.

But honestly, I don't get it. I'm not trying to be mean or heartless. But, what does this mean for other drivers?  I don't do anything different than I would do next to a car full of elderly people.  If I put a sign on my car that says "geriatric on board"  is that going to change your driving habits? Probably not.  The only thing I can come up with is that parents are proud of having a baby, so they want the world to know?  That's fine, just don't expect me to drive 5 mph behind you or change any of my driving skills.

Glutton for Punishment?

Well, I just accepted another part time job.  Its graveyards taking care of post-op patients at a surgical center.  To me, this is fun.  I've done one shift so far and I'm surprised at how awake I was the entire night.  I was awake for 37 hours straight bouncing between jobs, then I finally got home and crashed.  The problem I have is waking up after I fall asleep, not the staying awake part.  So, Caramel Macchiatos, Diet Dr. Pepper, and 5 hour energy shots are my friends.  I have to say though, my body can not put up with that much caffeine on a regular basis.  I'm headed to do my second shift at the surgical center, followed by another shift at the hospital tomorrow morning.  I might get to sleep tomorrow night after 6.

 Here we go again.... :)

UFRA

My brother is in the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy.  They had family/bbq day last  Saturday and we got to watch them set the "tuna can" on fire, then put it out. It was really cool to see.  So happy for him that he's doing something he's happy and excited to do. :)

Retirement

(Its getting close to finals, so posts will be kept short until after april, if I post at all...)
Jake and I spent this past weekend with the Haglund side in New York for Howie's Retirement shin-dig. It was quite the whirlwind and worth every second.  More pictures to come.

This seems to be a favorite picture for the in-laws to take, every one sleeping.( I guess we sleep alot?).
We have multiple from different trips  when we've gone to see them.
