Let me just say, I'm not a deeply religious person. It's very sad to see such a beautiful, historical piece of architecture in ruins. Its one thing to see this in the news. But to actually walk around the building is quite another.... There's a somber calm (the only way I can think to put it) when you're standing there. Regardless of the idling fire trucks and crumbling sounds coming from within. All I can say is it was an experience I wont soon forget.
